Basic lighting circuits
The circuit is the path of electric current, and the role of the lighting circuit is to convert electrical energy into light energy. It includes power supply, lamp, wire and switch, etc., and the basic circuits of electrical lighting are as follows:
1. A single switch controls a lamp, as shown in Figure (A) below. When wiring, the switch should be connected to the phase wire (commonly known as the live wire), so that after the switch is cut off, there is no electricity on the lamp head, so as to facilitate safety.
2. Two double switches control a lamp in two places, as shown in Figure (B) below, this control method is usually used for the electric light at the staircase, which can be controlled upstairs and downstairs, and sometimes also used for the corridor electric light, which can be controlled at both ends of the corridor.
3. Two double switches and one triple switch control one light in three places, as shown in figure (A) below. This method is generally used for stairs and corridors.
The local lighting power supply below 4.36 volts is generally powered by a fixed step-down transformer, and the wiring method is shown in Figure (B) below. When installing, the primary side of the transformer should be equipped with a fuse and a double-pole switch, which can not only protect the transformer, but also play a protective role in the short circuit on the secondary side, and at the same time there should be a protective shell on the secondary side and the low-voltage side should be grounded or zeroed to facilitate safety.

Summary of essential knowledge points for lighting design
Light is everywhere in our lives, it not only illuminates the darkness, but also sets the mood and sets the mood. Whether it's indoors or outdoors, the design of the light is very important. Good lighting design can make people feel comfortable and pleasant; Poor lighting design can make people feel depressed and irritated.

This article is not original, it is a translation. The original link can be found here [1]. Recently, I happened to be quite interested in lighting. When I was researching, I saw this article and thought it was pretty good. By the way, I will translate it.
